Answering the Contemplative Call
October 17 @ 7:00 PM - October 18 @ 4:00 PM| $80
Silence, stillness, and awareness of God’s mysterious presence form the foundation of the ancient prayer practice of contemplation. This Friday/Saturday retreat offers retreat ants a setting where we can explore what contemplation is, its roots in scripture and church tradition, and how to nurture contemplative prayer in our daily lives.
Friday, October 17, 7-9 PM: “Be Still and Know” the Presence of God
With practical guidance about how to integrate prayer into a busy schedule, and time for questions and answers, this is a perfect introduction (or “refresher course”) for anyone interested in a deeper prayer life.
Saturday, October 18, 9:30 AM-4 PM: Deepening Your Spiritual Life: Beginning (or Renewing) a Contemplative Prayer Practice
This day retreat will draw on the wisdom of scripture, the saints, and contemporary spiritual teachers to help us “connect the dots” between daily prayer and the ordinary demands of life, seeing how God uses our prayer to shape us into the people we are called to be, as followers of Christ and members of His body.
- Friday evening only: $10.00
- Saturday day only: $40.00 (includes lunch)
- Both events: $80.00 (includes overnight lodging and lunch)
- Commuter price: $45.00 (includes Saturday lunch)
